Message	my TT has a Hitachi compressor which i don't believe is a variable displacement type. The variable displacement compressors are Calsonic V5's. My 240sx had one. The Auto Climate Controlled AC systems used a Throttle Suction Valve which maintained the evaporator temperature while running the compressor continuously. The manual AC systems used a thermo control amp to cycle the compressor based on evaporator temperature.
